Cal Poly Short Cuts 2023

Cal Poly has a filmmaking class taught in the Winter and Spring quarters. When I took it during the spring of 2023, I was on the promotion team, where I ended up designing all the posters. There were six total short films, each of which I made a unique poster using a core element from the film. There is usually only one overall Short Cuts poster made, but I felt that each film was very special and deserved care.

I was inspired by the simple yet dynamic design style of Saul Bass. To make sure that all the posters can feel harmonious despite their differences, I used a limited color scheme and tried to balance minimalism with key details.
