Student Diversity and Belonging Rebrand

During the summer of 2023, I set out to rebrand Cal Poly's Student Diversity and Belonging Department. I had been working there for a year and noticed that even though the centers under the department put in incredible work into our events, many students didn't take them very seriously. Flyers were ignored and posts were swallowed in the algorithm. A common thread with all of these was a lack of visual authenticity and credibility. To fix this, I designed logos that both embody the spirit of each center and also unite the department as a whole. Not only that, I also provided branding guidelines, wrote copy that describes the centers and their missions, gave a presentation to my fellow student assistants about design practices (each center's student assistants made their own posts with no designated social media person).
